Indoor Gathering Limit Lowered to Slow the Spread of COVID-19

In an effort to drive down our increasing COVID-19 trends Governor Roy Cooper issued Executive Order 176 on Tuesday, November 10, 2020, extending Phase 3 restrictions and modifying Executive Order 169, beginning at 5:00 pm on Friday, November 13, 2020 and will be effective until December 4, 2020 at 5:00 pm. Executive Order 176 can be viewed here.

  1. The Mass Gathering Limit for indoor spaces is reduced to 10 people from 25. The outdoor Mass Gathering limit remains at 50 people. We also strongly urge people to continue to use “social distancing” guidelines of six (6) feet or more and practice the 3 Ws: Wear, Wait and Wash.
  2. Go to the Frequently Asked Questions (“FAQ”) for Executive Order No. 176 for additional information here.
  3. Use Face coverings when in public places, indoor or outdoor, where physical distancing of six (6) feet from other people who are not members of the same household or residence is not possible with guidance here.
