The mission of the Town of Winterville Parks & Recreation Department is to effectively and efficiently meet the recreation needs and interests of residents of all ages. Efforts to fulfill our mission focus on the updating of present facilities and playgrounds, planning for the acquisition of future facilities, and the provision of a wide range of year round recreation activities that utilize traditional and innovative programming ideas.

2017 Jr. Babe Ruth Baseball Registration

Winterville Jr. Baseball League is designed for children ages 13-15 who are interested in playing youth recreational baseball and continuing to grow knowledge of and passion for the game. Winterville teams will participate in the existing Greenville Pitt County League.

When:       Online: March 27th- April 10th (walk-in also available 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. starting March 27th)

                        Late: Any registrations after April 10th (8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. only); includes $10 late fee

7th Annual Community Yard Sale

The 7th Annual Winterville Community Yard Sale is May 20th 7:00 a.m., at the Winterville Recreation Park (Division Street). Come enjoy a day at the park while shopping through yard sale wares. Remember, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure!

Online and walk-in registration for vendors will be open March 20th-April 24th. To register online, click blue “online registration and reservations” button near top of screen. For walk-in registration, please visit the Parks & Recreation Office located at 2936 Church Street inside the Winterville Operations Center, open 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. Winterville Church League Softball

Registration for Church League Softball begins March 6, 2017. All registrations and information must be received by the Winterville Parks and Recreation Department no later than April 19, 2017 if you intend to participate this season. For more information, please call (252) 756-1487.

Winterville Ruritan Club Bingo!

Winterville Parks & Recreation is co-sponsoring Bingo in May. Bingo will be May 13, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. Bingo is held at the Winterville Ruritan Club located across from AG Cox Middle School in Winterville. Where will there be fun, friends, and free prizes in May? Bingo!


Winterville After School Hoops Program

 

Winterville Parks & Recreation in partnership with the Winterville Police Department brings you Winterville After School Hoops (WASH). After School Hoops is a program for children in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. WASH takes place at the Hillcrest Park basketball court every Monday and Thursday from 4:00-6:00 p.m., April 10th-June 1st. There is no registration or fees associated with WASH. Participants will form their own teams and play games each afternoon. For more information please visit call (252) 756-1487.
