Duke Energy, who is the Town of Winterville’s energy transmission provider, is expecting an all-time peak load condition through 10:00 am tomorrow, Monday, February 2nd. They are requesting that Energy Partners such as the Town of Winterville, release public appeals to conserve energy until temperatures rise around 10:00 am Monday. This is intended to assist in preventing widespread outages on the electric grid. Please consider reducing your thermostat a few degrees and limit energy consumption in an effort to assist in keeping everyone’s power on.
