The mission of the Town of Winterville Parks & Recreation Department is to effectively and efficiently meet the recreation needs and interests of residents of all ages. Efforts to fulfill our mission focus on the updating of present facilities and playgrounds, planning for the acquisition of future facilities, and the provision of a wide range of year round recreation activities that utilize traditional and innovative programming ideas.
Fall Youth Sports Program Registration
Regular walk-in and online registration begins on June 26th! To register online, click the “Online Registration and Reservation” link near the top of this page. Walk-in registration is available at the Winterville Operations Center (2936 Church Street), during normal business hours. Outdoor Concert and Movie Series - July Events
The Winterville Parks & Recreation Summer Movie & Concert Series is held at the Winterville Recreation Park Amphitheatre. Admission is free and concession stand is open for all refreshment needs. All bands play 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. All movies begin at dusk (approximately 30 minutes after sunset).

Mommy & Me Tea Party
Join us for a fun time! Wear your best tea party attire and enjoy a cup of tea, scones and finger sandwiches! There is no age limit!
When: Saturday, July 27th, 2024 from 11:00am-1:00pm (open for all ages).
Where: The Train Depot, 217 Worthington Street, Winterville, NC 28590
Registration: June 17th - July 25th; Available online by clicking the link at the top of this screen and in-person at the Winterville Operations Center (2936 Church Street). Spots are limited, so be sure to register early!
Price: Residents: $25 per couple / Non-Residents: $35 per couple; $5 for each additional attendee (child).

Fall Tennis/Pickleball Programs
We are excited to announce that our fall tennis and pickleball programs are now open for enrollment! We have the perfect options for juniors and adults, beginner through intermediate. These programs, taught by professional instructors, bring the perfect balance of fun and technique development with an emphasis on building a strong and positive tennis community right here in the heart of Winterville, NC.

Summer Cheer Camp
Do you have a youth who loves Cheerleading? Eager to learn? Always tumbling around the house? This Summer we will be hosting our first Annual Cheerleading Camp for Ages K-3rd grade. This camp will be for beginners & experienced cheerleaders. We will be teaching cheerleading skills such as, jumps, cheers, dance routines, stunts & more!

Registration: Register in person at the Winterville Operations Center or online beginning April 22nd.
Camp Dates: June 24th - June 28th 8:00am - 12:00pm (5-8 year olds)
July 22nd - July 26th 8:00am - 12:00pm (9-13 year olds)
Cost: $120 per participant. T-shirt included.
Yoga
In this session classes will be beginner friendly and accessible to everyone. You will work on connecting breath with movement allowing you to create more awareness of the body and mind. Classes will work through sequences helping improve balance, range of motion, flexibility, and overall physical and mental well-being. Variations of postures will be available to allow the student to make the practice their own. This class is great for people with no prior experience and those who already have a yoga practice. Participants are required to bring their own personal yoga mat to each class.

Session Information: Total of 6 classes per session. Classes every Thursday from 5:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Please see program catalog in registration system for dates.
Session Dates: August 29th - October 3rd
Cost: $60 per participant. Must register for entire session, no drop-in.
Zumba
Perfect for everybody and every body! Each Zumba class is designed to bring people together to sweat it out.
How it works: We take the "work" out of workout, by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. Once the Latin and World rhythms take over, you'll see why Zumba Fitness classes are often called exercise in disguise.
Benefits: A total workout, combining all elements of fitness - cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility, boosted energy and a serious dose of awesome each time you leave class.
