Old Tar Road (SR-1700 both directions south of Winterville) will be closed for maintenance just south of Jack Jones Road Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 8:00 am to Friday, April 24, 2026, at 5:00 pm. The detour route will be posted by NCDOT: Old Tar Road to Jack Jones Road to County Home Road to Ayden Golf Club Road to Old Tar Road.
